Our position on cookies

The Aquaculture Solutions site is designed to respect your privacy by default. We use no advertising cookies, no behavioural trackers, no remarketing pixels. The only third-party tool present is Google Analytics 4, exclusively for audience measurement purposes, and its activation is conditional upon your consent.

In practice: until you have clicked "I understand" in the information banner, no measurement cookie is deposited and no data is transmitted to Google. This protection is implemented via Google's Consent Mode v2: the script is loaded but remains inactive until your acceptance.

The following cookies are systematically deposited as they are essential for the site to function. They do not require prior consent.

1. Information banner acknowledgement

Type: localStorage (browser storage, not strictly an HTTP cookie)
Purpose: remember that you have read the banner, so as not to redisplay it on every visit

Purpose: ensure HTTPS connection security and proper web server operation
Duration: session only (deleted when the browser closes)
Data collected: anonymous technical session identifier

Audience measurement cookies (on consent)

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our site is consulted (pages visited, average duration, navigation path, device type). These statistics help us improve content relevance and user experience.

Data is collected anonymously: the IP address is truncated on Google's side before any storage (anonymize_ip parameter). No identifying personal data is transmitted.

_ga — User distinction (pseudonymous identifier). Duration: 2 years. Provider: Google.
_ga_X20Y27YS0S — GA4 session state retention (measurement property identifier). Duration: 2 years. Provider: Google.

By deleting the aqs:consent:analytics entry from the site's localStorage (DevTools → Application → Local Storage);

Absence of advertising cookies

The site integrates none of the following:

No advertising pixels (Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Google Ads, etc.);
No remarketing or commercial profiling tools;
No social sharing buttons capable of tracking users;
No third-party video embed active by default (YouTube, Vimeo);
No third-party map active by default without user interaction.
